And we asked her to tell us about her:

FAVORITE:

My hands-down favorite part of writing my Husband Series of erotic romances has been the friendships between the four girlfriends. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a total romantic and I’ve adored the sexy push/pull of the attractions (and the very hot sex!) between each girl and her hunky man. But I’ve adored the way each of these four very different women have been there for each other, whether that’s for a hug, to share tears or laughter, or to give tough love when it was required. Girlfriends have meant so much in my life, and it’s been thrilling to bring that dimension into contemporary erotic love stories.

FABULOUS:

Pinterest. My four heroines are all fashionistas in their own ways. Louella is a Rose Bay socialite, Jill has a shoe obsession that would rival Carrie Bradshaw’s, Angela’s parents are from Mumbai so her tastes are to modern saris and Punjabi suits, and Fritha is a bohemian who adores texture and color (think rainbow bridesmaid dress). It’s been a joy for me to create a Pinterest board for each book, showcasing the style of each heroine, and as a sideline I’ve created boards for Swoonworthy Shoes, Frocks, and a specialOuch! board of all the hot men I discovered along the way.

and
FRUSTRATION:

This comes from my female characters. All in their mid-thirties, my heroines are at that unfortunate crossroads where their love-lives haven’t lived up to expectations, and their emotional baggage is arriving with an overweight tag! So while I’d love them to have an easy ride into sexily-ever-after, they each seem determined to push away the one man who would be perfect for them! Readers have called each book “an emotional rollercoaster” and while that makes for a great read, it’s been frustrating for me watching each of these characters I love go through more angst than they should. But at the same time, it’s been fabulous to see love heal their emotional wounds and deliver that delicious moment when they know this is the man for them.

Angela Lata only ever wanted two things out of life: a singing career and children. So she’s entitled to a little craziness after discovering that her cheating husband had a vasectomy before their wedding. Still, that’s no excuse to succumb to sexy man-whore Jack, even if he is so gorgeous she can barely breathe in his presence. Hadn’t she learned anything from her girlfriend’s example? The best way to get over one man is NOT to sleep with another.

The trouble is, Angela has never had good sex, let alone great sex, and on the eve of her diva dreams coming true, Jack promises her both. All it takes is one night with him to ruin her completely. Every date afterward suffers in comparison, and with her biological clock ticking loudly and her career not living up to her expectations, what she needs is father material, not pleasure-on-tap.

Tradition meets testosterone in a clash of expectations as unlikely lovers struggle to uncover what they really want from life – and each other.

  2. Sounds really good and it's nice to see older women as heroines instead of 20 year olds.

  6. I love it when characters are "fashionistas." I can live vicariously while wearing my sweats.

  7. A great idea for a series! It's true, reading about angst is fun if there's a HEA, but writing it is hard...I sometimes wonder if I'm having my characters go through enough torture before they achieve their HEAs...

  8. I like the titles of the books. Very playful. Man whore is a fun word but a cheating husband is probably the worst.
