What inspires you to write?
It’s the characters which slip into my mind, bringing with them lots of problems and a need to find their happy ever after.
Tell us about your writing process.
I
prefer to write early in the morning and have a set amount of words to
complete. This means I have time to do other writing related tasks – and
my day job of farming.
Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
Absolutely! It’s like meeting a new person and wanting to know all about them.
What advice would you give other writers?
Having
spent seven years writing towards publication, I would advise to write
the story you would like to read, the story that’s in your heart – and
believe in yourself as a writer.
What is your favourite genre to read? Is it different to what you write?
I love reading romance, which goes without saying, but I also enjoy historical fiction.
Tell us about your book...
Amber
has left Kazim, the man chosen by her family as her husband, unable to
deal with his cold disapproval of her. She can’t return to her family,
so makes a life for herself in Paris, until Kazim finds her and
discovers the perfect blackmail to get what he needs most - his wife
back.
Claimed By The Sheikh
Banished!
Princess Amber's arranged marriage to Prince Kazim Al-Amed of Barazbin was a dream come true—for her, at least! But then their wedding night went spectacularly wrong, and a furious Kazim banished Amber from his kingdom and his life…
Hunted!
Now, with his country in turmoil, Kazim must prove his ability to rule and provide an heir for his people. But to do so he'll need to track down his princess.
Claimed!
Amber has always threatened Kazim's tightly held control. Yet if he is to save his nation—and his marriage—he must finally make the ultimate claim…on his wife!
That sounds entirely different! Congratulations on the release, Rachael!

Early morning writing is the best Medeia! I love the cover too!
DeleteWait, I think I've heard of this one before. Haven't I? Pregnancy brain. I can't keep track any more.
ReplyDeleteHi again Crystal! Don't panic, you commented on another post of mine! Thanks for stopping by here too.
DeleteI love the idea of writing first thing in the morning...before you get brain drain.
ReplyDeleteIt's the best way Stephanie. The house is quiet and the problems of the day are yet to unfold - so when they do, I'm happy I've done my required words!
DeleteI am usually up early these days and get to have some alone time. I used to be a night owl but with the seasons changing I am sleeping earlier. I'm sure once summer hits, I'll be up all night again and doing my writing then.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of changing with the seasons Mary!
