What inspires you to write? 

 

I’d like to say that the view from my office inspires me, but it’s often a distraction! (See photo attached)

 

I always enjoyed reading romance and I always knew I wanted to write it. I guess I’m inspired by love? And I love being able to create a happy ending. I think that’s the one thing that drives me. The hopefulness of romance. I like writing about people who are hurting and heal and make a better life for themselves. I find that reassuring and joyful.

 

 

What genres do you write?

 

I like to say I write anything so long as it’s romance.

 

I mostly write Harlequin Presents. I just turned in what will be my 60^th!  I’ve also written a lot of small town contemporary for Tule Publishing. If you explore my backlist, you’ll also find romcom, erotic and historical romance.

 

The only reason I haven’t branched into alien or creature romance is time! Lol.

 

 

 

 

Share a little about your writing process.

 

I do my best writing in the mornings and I write most days. I’ll go all day if my word count needs it. I think of my process as two-steps forward, one back. I push forward for a few days, get stuck, go back to the beginning and comb out the tangles. Then I push forward a little more.

 

I’m not one of these writers who needs to get it all down. I need time to think along the way so it works for me to work in waves.

I love a secret baby story, but I thought “What if this is a super-secret baby?”
