Who is Dani Collins?
Oof. I wish you would tell me. I feel pretty boring sometimes because all I seem to do is write. I guess I also identify as a wife of thirty-plus years and a mom of two wonderful, grown children. I do think a lot lately about trying other things, purely to have something to post on social media.
Who is your favourite author?
I don’t really have a favourite. I try to sample new authors these days and also reach outside romance and often into nonfiction.
Do you listen to music while you write?
I sometimes listen in the summertime when the windows are open because the neighbors often play rock music or have machines going that distract me. But I mostly prefer silence while I write. I do enjoy listening to music while I do other things, though. I’m listening to some chill acoustic instrumental while I write this blog post.
What type of music?
Zero lyrics or non-English so it doesn’t distract me. Very chill pace, usually acoustic guitar. I’ve tried some of those brain-focus electronic beats, but they pan the music from ear to ear and nothing puts me in a rage faster.
What do you do to relax?
Yoga is one of my most reliable stress-busters. In the summer, we love Happy Hour on our deck, but I quickly fall into bad habits around wine and potato chips. I enjoy nature walks and watch way too much tv.
Tell us about your book...
Siobhan is so excited when she lands her dream job, she celebrates with a sexy Spanish stranger—who ghosts her the next day. She picks herself up and moves to Madrid only to discover he’s her new boss.
Joaquin left for a family emergency, but with Siobhan under his nose, he’s tempted to pick up where they left off, if she wasn’t his employee and firmly off-limits. Then he learns she’s pregnant. Fatherhood was not on his Christmas To Do list!
P.S. When I was brainstorming ways I could bring in a festive atmosphere for this book, I looked to Sound of Music, so watch for that while you read this one.
