So over to Adrienne now....
I started with some easy ones first, lets see!
Coffee or Champagne?
Adrienne: Wow. Tough question right out of the gate. Have a little mercy, Nas! If forced to decide, I'd have to go with coffee because I enjoy my morning java before everyone wakes up. I love that hour or so when the house is completely quiet and Buddy the Wheaten Terrorist—uh—Terrier hasn't gone into his hyperactive I-am-alpa-boy mode. That morning cup of coffee while writing has become my ritual. After that, all bets are off. The school rush begins, the emails start flying and the Wheaten Terrorist is running through the yard barking like a madman at the other dogs on the trail next to my house. If you need a good source of entertainment, come by at around eight a.m. when things are in full swing.
Ok, good answer! Now...Cupcakes or Cheesecake?
Adrienne: I'm going to say cheesecake, but only if it's my Aunt Rose's. Her cheesecake is out of this world and is a guaranteed pleasurable experience. I am truly a cheesecake snob and have no problem admitting it. It's not my fault my Aunt spoiled me. J If I can't have Aunt Rose's cheesecake every time, I'm going with cupcakes because I'm not nearly as snooty about cupcakes. Just load them up with butter cream frosting and I'm good to go.
Daniel Craig (James Bond action) or Ashton Kutcher (RomFlick)? Taylor Lautner(Hot Werewolf)? Ian Somahalder(Bad Boy Vampire)?
Adrienne: I've decided I'm terrible at these questions. I have conditions for all of them! If Daniel Craig is James Bond, I'm going with him. My reasons for this decision should be self-explanatory.
The truth is I like a hero who wants to be in the middle of the action. I also like a hero who is slightly damaged. Slightly! He can't be too high-maintenance or it's just too much work. J
Make him an alpha and I'll swoon. Completely cooked. The hero in my second book, A Just Deception, is what I call an alpha-on-steroids. When Peter walks into a room, he wants everyone to know he's the alpha dog. He likes being in charge and isn't shy about getting in someone's business. To balance him out, I made him know how to ballroom dance and cook. He also has unlimited patience.
So, yes, for me, I love an action hero who can get things done, but I want them to have a softer side too.
Dream Vacation? If I invite you to Fiji?
My ultimate dream vacation would be Italy with my mother and siblings. I'd like to see where my grandparents grew up. We've tried to schedule a big family trip several times, but life takes over and someone usually can't make it. I'm determined though. I would also like to wait until my son is a bit older so he can appreciate the history.
And those are my answers. Thank you to Nas for inviting me to hang out on her blog today. Readers, please leave a comment for a chance to win either a set of bullet earrings, a bullet keychain or a copy of one of the book's in the Private Protectors series. We will randomly pick three names and you can choose which prize you would like.

I am totally with you on Daniel Craig! :)
ReplyDeleteInteresting post - thank you! My daughter made a cheesecake that was made with ricotta cheese and was actually the best cheesecake I'd ever eaten!
ReplyDeleteSad to say that Adrienne is a new to me author, however, I was able to pick up her book Man Law recently and I'm looking forward to reading it.
Adrienne, I'm with you on coffee and cheesecake.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your book.
Nas, thank you for the nice comment you left on Deniz's blog.
Liz, that opening scene of Casino Royale? Too much!
ReplyDeleteHi,Karen. My aunt makes both the cream cheese and the ricotta version. Both are fabulous. And I like them plain. No chocolate or berries. Just plain-old-cheesecake.
Thanks, Theresa!
Great cover!!
ReplyDeleteANd I'm with you, Adrienne... Daniel Craig all the way! I love what you say about heros... so true! I want a guy that doesn't know he needs a female counterpart yet.. one that doesn't have to have his ego pampered, but every once in awhile we get that glimpse into his semi-tortured soul. :)
Oh, just wanted to mention. To celebrate the release of Risking Trust, Man Law is currently free at Barnes and Noble. The free promotion ends tomorrow so jump on over and download.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Hi PK. I totally agree. I love finding the weakness in a character and exploiting it. I'm always curious how different characters might react when pushed to the brink.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
What a fun interview, Adrienne and Nas! It sounds as if your heroes are as wonderfully complex and enjoyable as a cup of coffee paired with a slice of cheesecake. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle. Thank you! I try to have some fun with my guys. Of course, having fun means making them a little miserable, but they adjust.
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping by.
Nas I loved the interview questions! Such a fun interview to read and to learn more about Adrienne and her books!
ReplyDeleteHi Lolarific. Thanks for popping by!
ReplyDeleteOf course, James Bond. :) Nice bumping into you again today, Adrienne.
ReplyDeleteI love romantic suspense! Cool giveaways. Gonna check out the craft post. Nice to meet you, Adrienne.
ReplyDeleteThose are hard questions!!! How are people supposed to choose between cupcakes and cheesecake??? Great answers :)
ReplyDeleteGreat interview ladies. Daniel Craig, now there's a James Bond for those whose taste doesn't run to Johnny English, lol!
ReplyDeleteYour book cover is very alluring!
Denise
I'm with James Bond ;) no matter who it is..LOL! I'm more of a Pierce Brosnan kinda girl than Daniel Craig..but I ain't complaining :p
ReplyDeleteGreat to meet you at Nas's, Adrienne!!!! And I'd really have a tough choice picking between cheesecake or cupcakes.. Me wants cakes right now!!!!
Great fun! It's always exciting to see what others will choose. I could never say no to a beach :-)
ReplyDeleteI lust Daniel Craig. ;-) Great covers you have here - very eye-catching!
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you as well, J.L. Thank you, Jemi! Those are tough choices. :)
ReplyDeleteL'Aussie, I just saw the new Johnny English movie this weekend. Silly, but such a hoot and quite entertaining.
Hi Ju. Did we meet over at the Carina blog? Your name sounds familiar!
Deniz, I'm with you on the beach.
Talei, yes Carina does a nice job with my covers. The man candy is definitely a plus! What's wonderful about these covers is that the models are truly how the guys look in my head. The artist really takes into consideration the small details I give him. Michael (hero in Risking Trust)hates ties. Peter (A Just Deception) always wears t-shirts and has unruly hair.
Thanks for the wonderful comments!
Thanks for introducing us to Adrienne! That first cup of coffee while the rest of the house is still asleep is one of my great pleasures in life!
ReplyDeleteI love Daniel Craig in everything - except James Bond! I must be the only one but to me he lacks the suaveness that is so necessary for 007 (Sean Connery, Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan had it. George Lazenby and Timothy Dalton, not so much. David Niven - maybe but only because he played an aging Bond. I wonder if it's also because Daniel Craig is fair-haired? To me 007 has to be tall, dark and handsome! JMHO
ReplyDeleteAnother great guest blogger, Nas!!
Hi, Susan. I thrive on that early morning quiet. Even the dog is asleep and I tip-toe to my desk so I don't wake him up. Otherwise he'll start shoving toys at me. LOL
ReplyDeleteSerena, I did like Sean Connery as 007 also. Daniel Craig had me after that opening scene though. Crazy action!
Thanks for commenting, ladies!
Super fun interview. And it is so hard to find excellent cheesecake. Why is that?
ReplyDeleteThose are difficult questions! I do love cheesecake. Yum!
ReplyDeleteHi Isis and Talli. I think it's all about the cheese. Some people like the cream cheese version over the ricotta version. I prefer cream cheese. And I like it plain rather than with fruit on top or mixed with chocolate. People think I'm crazy. LOL.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping in!
Ha, I loved the fun questions and answers. How can one decide between cheesecake or cupcakes!! Not possible ;)
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, cheesecake. That's what I'll indulge in this weekend. A gift to myself!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynda. Thank you for agreeing with me on the tough decision. :) I did see an amazing looking cupcake on a commercial the other day and I've been craving one ever since!
ReplyDeleteDonna, go ahead and indulge. There's nothing like a good cheesecake.
Thanks for stopping by, ladies!
Loved the questions! lol.
ReplyDeleteSigh, swoon! Daniel Craig, and slightly damaged heroes. Yes please!
ReplyDeleteHi, Xandra. I'm glad you liked the interview. I fear I wasn't very cooperative with my non-comittal answers. :)
ReplyDeleteAmie, I'm with you on both!
Thanks for stopping by!
Great interview! I'd also say yes for Daniel Craig and cheesecake.
ReplyDeleteYep, Adrienne!
ReplyDeleteWe did meet over at Carina's blog and you sent me a lovely bullet keychain ;) I've been proudly displaying it to everyone who came to my home :-D
Congratulations to the three winners Adrienne chose!
