Who Is Jenny Brigalow?

I guess I'd have to say that I am a  mum,  a book worm, an equine addict and a story teller.  I'm a self confessed home body. Love tea and chocolate and the sound of rain on a tin roof.   When I was a young girl, I wanted to be a bareback rider in the circus. I guess I'm still hopelessly romantic and live my dreams through my writing.

What inspired you to be a writer?

To be honest I began writing more by accident than by design. While I'm a voracious reader it never occurred to me that I could write. Then, whilst recovering from a back injury, I picked up a flyer  for correspondence education. One of the courses was on how to write romance.  I thought it looked fun. And it was. The course gave me the tools to write my first story and I haven't stopped since.

How did you choose your genre?

I didn't, I think it chose me. I write the story that's inside and then I have to sit down and try figure  which genre it fits. Love is a strong theme in everything I write.  Not very savvy I know, but that's how it is.

What made you tell this story and why did you write this book?

I'm not entirely sure, the writing process remains a bit of a mystery to me. But I think I was inspired by a visit to the Queensland Outback, which contrasted so violently with the gentle, lush green contours  of England. Geography and landscape have great influence over everything that I write and help shape my characters.

How did you come up with the title?

A Man For All Seasons is borrowed from my heroine, Seraphim Driscoll (I'm sure she won't mind). It is an emotional expression of her  deepening and enduring love for Chad.

There’s an eCopy of my A MAN OF ALL SEASONS for one lucky commenter!

  10. Hi Nancy, thanks for joining us. A fellow rain buff, how lovely. I guess for me it comes from living through long years of drought. I also love the scent of rain steaming off hot bitumen. Delighted to hear you enjoyed A Man For All Seasons.
