Runaway Groom By Fiona Lowe
Book Three in the Wedding Fever Trilogy.
I’m excited about my latest release, Runaway Groom,
which is the third book in my Wedding
Fever trilogy.
The first two books of the trilogy, Saved By
The Bride and Picture
Perfect Wedding were set in summer but I set Runaway Groom
in early fall/autumn — Indian summer —because it is my favorite time of year!
The mornings and evenings are cool but the days are sunny and the trees are
starting to turn. Oh how I love the fall colors and in the north woods of
Wisconsin. They are vibrant red, orange and yellow as the sugar maples, oaks, and basswood’s leaves all change and start to fall.
And what better way to view the fall colors than from the
back of a vintage Harley Davidson motorcycle. Wisconsin’s rustic roads offer
that very opportunity and the chance to see some wildlife like wolves and the
occasional black bear.
So what’s Runaway Groom
about? Well, Aussie Ben Armytage is taking the road trip of his life on his
vintage motorcycle, riding from Antarctica to Alaska and his only pre-requite
is not to stay long in any one place, especially not in a town obsessed with
weddings. Of course, life has a way of throwing curve balls at you and Ben gets
stuck in Whitetail…I won’t tell you how because that’s a very funny scene and I
don’t want to spoil it.
Amy Sagar has spent her life doing the right thing and never
putting a foot wrong but suddenly she’s out of her job and at risk of being the
center of an enormous scandal. Desperate to hide out for a while, she goes to
the one place she has happy memories; Whitetail. The last thing she is
expecting is to have to share a vacation log cabin with a biker. Only it turns
out he isn’t exactly the renegade he’d like her to believe. And he’s utterly
gorgeous.
Can a disgraced lawyer with body image issues and a health
freak biker with trust issues find a way to be together?
Throw in the secondary story of Melissa, the owner of
Whitetail’s Northern Lights Boutique and the tertiary story of Mrs. Norell, the
cake decorator and there’s a lot of romance in Whitetail.
The blurb says…
Amy Sagar’s life is in ruins. Fired from her fast-track job and dumped by her double-crossing boyfriend, she retreats to Whitetail, Wisconsin, to lick her wounds and regroup. Meeting an impossible, sexy Australian isn’t part of her strategy for getting back on track.
Ben Armytage is running away. After being left at the altar and publicly humiliated, he’s taking his vintage motorcycle on an extended road trip from Argentina to Alaska. Having his journey interrupted by a breakdown and sharing a house with a curvy, redheaded lawyer in a town obsessed with weddings was never on his itinerary.
Though being stuck in a luxury log cabin isn’t really a hardship, living together with their broken hearts isn’t easy. When the attraction between Amy and Ben proves unstoppable, they’ll both begin rethinking their plans…

I like fall/autumn, I know Wisconsin is beautiful when the leaves change color for I growup in Wis. Book sounds good!!
ReplyDeleteSounds good Fiona and I do love the colour of Autumn. We have a Liquid Amber tree with big leaves that changes colours and fall off in Autumn and so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSounds great, Fiona. I enjoy stories that take place in mountain huts or cabins. Add luxury to the tag and even better ;)
