This week's Author Spotlight is on author Louisa George and 200 Harley St: The Shameless Maverick. Please welcome Louisa George...
Louisa on the web:
Where is your favorite place to write?
In my study (I'm sure there are lots of nicer places to work- I just haven't met them yet!!! )
Favorite snack to eat while writing (or reading).
I don't snack while I'm working (I'm on a very strict health and fitness regime at the moment because I'm going on holiday next week and I'm 0.5 kg off my target weight)- although I do LOVE a glass of wine in the evenings when I'm reading
Hot and Humid or Cold and Snowy?
Definitely hot and humid
What is one book everyone should read?
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes (it's not a romance, but it is a love story)
What's next for you?
I'm currently working on a medical romance which features a hospital lawyer and a pediatric renal surgeon, a bare bottom and lots of fun! I have a medical romance release in December: A Baby On Her Christmas List and a Modern Tempted/contemporary romance book coming out sometime early next year called Enemies With Benefits
Tell us a little about your book…
It's book seven in the 200 Harley Street medical romance continuity series and was heaps of fun to write, and working with all those other talented authors was amazing!
Here's the official blurb….
One kiss she didn’t forget!
Junior surgeon Kara Stephens has been assigned her first high-profile case to help an injured princess. Great news—if she wasn’t working with hot-shot Irish surgeon Declan Underwood, the man she kissed at the hospital ball! Declan’s notoriety with women is rivalled only by his reputation as the best reconstructive surgeon around. But his glamorous life in London is a far cry from his poverty-stricken childhood, and Kara’s about to discover that there’s more to her charismatic maverick than meets the eye…

Sounds like you're quite busy, Louisa!
ReplyDeleteLol William! Yes, I try to write a book every three months so that's quite a tight schedule!
DeleteI hope your holiday is somewhere hot and humid. Congrats on all your upcoming releases. You've obviously been working hard!
ReplyDeleteThanks Shelley, and thanks for popping by! I'm hoping Hawaii is hot (not so sure about the humid part!)
DeleteCan I take hot without the humid? ;)
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you Louisa!
Hi Kelly! Nice to meet you too! And yes, I'm with you on the hot but not humid...
ReplyDeleteI think you're a writer on a roll! Keep writing.
ReplyDeleteHi, Nas.
LOL Carol! I'm certainly busy!!
DeleteSounds like a great story, Louisa. Love Irish heroes.
ReplyDeleteHi Nas!
I love Irish heroes too, Denise! Yummy!
DeleteA book every three months?! Wow, am I ever a slacker...
ReplyDeleteYour new book sounds yummy, and I agree about "Me Before You." A terrific book.
Oh, Susan another Me Before You fan! What a book! What an ending!!!
DeleteThat's one impressive writing schedule. And you don't snack. You've got the discipline all right.
ReplyDeleteHi Clee! I'm weighed down with the discipline, but I'm determined!! (The things we do for vanity!)
DeleteThe book's blurb sounds great!
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry, thanks for the vote of confidence, I hope it lives up to the blurb!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've been writing up a storm! Great blurb, and catchy title!
ReplyDeleteJulie
A writer who doesn't snack. I'm jealous! I have to grab the occasional bite-size chocolate to keep me going.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to meet Louisa and read about her work. I wish her much success.
ReplyDeleteOoh! I love the extremes of the character's backgrounds. That sounds like a great dynamic.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great series. Wishing Louisa the best of luck! It sounds like she has great willpower to stay away from snacks while writing. :)

Congrats, Louisa! Sounds like you're working on some fun stories!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Louisa! I'm with you on that glass of wine :)
ReplyDeletePour me a glass too, Louisa. Congrats on the book.
ReplyDeleteI'm a cold and snowy person, Louisa. I hate the humidity. But I love the premise of your new book and the titles of your books coming out in December. I can see a lot of thought goes into titles and plots. Thanks so much for sharing this, Nas, with your blog readers. Congratulations and good luck, Louisa!
