This week's Spotlight on Author is on Dani Collins
and her two new releases, His Blushing Bride & Seduced Into Her Greek's World!
1. If you have a pen name, can you explain how you came up with it?
I don’t use a pen name. I have enough trouble keeping track of myself as it is.
2. What are a few things we would find in or on your desk?
A jar full of pens and highlighters, my day planner (I prefer
the old-school paper and pencil for scheduling), scraps of paper with
scrawled notes that are snippets of genius (genius, I tell you! Genius!) and the very vital sticky notes.
3. What motivates you to write?
I always wrote for pleasure and feel like it’s a privilege that I can do this for a living now. (Although the need to pay the bills is also a great motivator if I’m having a slow day!)
4. Share something about yourself no one else knows?
I pretend I read my horoscope as a lark, but I’m actually quite serious about it. Shh, don’t tell anyone.
5 Tell us about your book....
Sebastian (Bastian) is a smart, sexy, doctorate student who shows up on Piper’s parents’
porch looking like a drifter. He’s recently been robbed and is only in town for his sister’s wedding. Piper can see he’s a player from a mile off, is instantly attracted, but doesn’t think he’d be interested in her. She carries some baggage associated with her ex and the birthmark on her face and is still a virgin because of it. Once she gets to know him, however, she thinks he might be able to show her around the sexual block. He does, they do laps, then it’s time for him to leave and that part doesn’t go so well for either of them.

His Blushing Bride is my fourth novella for Montana Born. All the books are connected but can be read as stand-alones.

Good to meet you, Dani!
ReplyDeleteGoodness, I was in my writing cave and didn't realize I had so many visitors. Hi William! Thanks for dropping by.
DeleteThanks for your visit Dani. Sounds a good story.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo! It's one of my favourites. :)
DeleteDani's pic is adorable and it's so cute she's "old school" about pens, paper, and no alias. Wishing her much success on His Blushing Bride. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lexa. I feel plain 'old' a lot of the time, lol! Thanks for coming by. :)
DeleteI enjoyed reading Dani's way of writing. Great that she can support herself, dream!! Lovely cover too!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to hear you're a fan, Denise! Thanks for the cover-love, too!
DeleteCongrats, Dani!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nick!
DeleteSounds like an interesting book. Thanks for stopping by Dani!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah. I should remind people it's a novella. Lots of readers want to know how much book they're getting. For now, the shorter ones are all that fit into my schedule, but I'm hoping for (literally) bigger things by the end of the year :)
DeleteThis sounds like an interesting book ♡ ... Have a lovely day xox
ReplyDeleteThanks Launna. I love your name. Could be coming to a romance near you soon! ;)
DeleteWhat a pretty cover! Sounds like a good book! I like to read my horoscope too. ;) Best of luck, Dani!
