I asked Australian author Amy Andrews for an in-depth interview! She was game and answered my questions.
A couple of years ago my sister, Ros, who had written a couple of books, suggested we try and write a book together. I don’t think there was ever any question it was going to be a chick-litty, funny, contemporary novel. This is what we both like to read and both our voices really suit this particular genre.
2. What do you think makes a good story?
Character – absolutely. If you don’t make your readers care about your characters than all the plot devices in the world aren’t going to help the story. It doesn’t matter if there are explosions, secret babies, nudity, spies, vampires, worm holes in time or sex while swinging from a chandelier - if the reader doesn’t like your hero and heroine, they’re going to wish the chandelier falls from the roof and kills both of them!

3. Tell us about your current release Sister Pact?
Sister Pact is a tandem novel about two estranged sisters who are essentially bribed by their dead grandmother to inherit a million pounds each in her will if they compete on a Survivor-esque reality TV show together. There’s a lot of laughs, a few tears, a little bit of loving and a cute ferret called Desmond Tutu who almost manages to steal the show!

4. Would you take part in a reality TV show?
Never! Especially not one that requires you to find/forage for your own food/shelter etc. I would starve and die from exposure J
