Back in Montana with Soraya Lane and Giveaways!

We have author Soraya Lane talking about her Montana series today. And she is here with some gifts too!
Back in Montana!

As a reader, I love getting hooked on a book and then finding out it's part of a series. I like nothing more than revisiting past characters, being transported back to a setting I enjoyed, or finding out more about minor characters from previous books. The same is true when I'm writing, because I'm usually so sad letting my characters go - writing a series lets me hang on to them for longer!

With the release of the second and third books in my Montana series, I've been able to revisit all my favorite characters for a few months now! I worked on the books back to back, and I'm just about to write the final book in the series, so it's been a fantastic experience. Nothing beats living in my 'fantasy' Montana world full of cowboys, yummy heroes, strong heroines & ranch settings. If you've read the first book, Montana Reunion, you'll love catching up with Jack & Maddison, and I hope you enjoy meeting Jack's younger brother, Scott, as much as I did!

So do you enjoy reading a series or do you prefer stand alone books?

  2. I like both series and stand alones, mainly because sometimes I don't have time to invest in a series. Congrats on your new release.

  3. Congrats on the new release! The setting sounds wonderful. I do like the occasional series but stand alone is better for me.

  4. I'm SUCH a series girl... I LOVE a good series. I'm always sad when I read a stand alone because if the book is good enough, I don't want to leave that world!

  6. I like series, tho sometimes a good stand alone is a relief to read- no having to wait for sequels! And I've always wanted to visit Montana- it looks so gorgeous in photos, 'big sky country' and all that! =)

  7. Both, but the book in the series has to be standalone

  10. I usually read stand-alones, but I've read some reeeeeally good mulit-volumed series, too. So good, I hated to see them end.

    Merry Christmas to you, too!

  11. Yes? I love both, stand alones and series. With a stand alone, I know when it's finished, but the series... Well, as long as it's finished, I'll binge read an entire 3 to 5 books in a weekend. Dangerous things. =)

  12. I'm more inclined to read a stand alone book. Those sequels so often disappoint.

Just stopping to wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Winter Solstice, Whatever. See you in 2014.
