Ball gowns or plain dresses?
Definitely ball gowns. I’m more your jeans, boots
and T-shirt kind of girl, so it’s nice to dress up.
Where is your favorite place to write?
I used to work in busy
offices and I miss the buzz of having people around me so find it hard to write
at home (even though I have the sound of the waves and the wind in the trees).
I go to a variety of cafĂ©’s around Byron Bay to write and also the fabulous new
Byron library (which isn’t a quiet library!!)
Favorite snack to eat while writing (or reading).
I don’t really snack
while I write but I do drink lots and lots of freshly brewed coffee!!
Hot and Humid or Cold and Snowy?
Definitely cold and
snowy. I live with hot and humid in
Byron Bay so I love visiting snowy mountains, especially if there is skiing
involved.
What is one book everyone should read?
Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. I
reread it every few years.
What's next for you?
My new release, Tempted by the Billionaire Tycoon, is
out this week, which is very exciting. It is the second book in my Billionaire
Romance series. I’m currently working on book number three. It is set on a super yacht, which has just
left Monte Carlo.
Tell us a little about your book...
Tempted by the
Billionaire Tycoon…
Three strikes
and you're out…
A series of
strange accidents are occurring at Sirona, a luxury spa resort in the
picturesque English countryside. Billionaire owner Nic Capitini wants the
person responsible sacked. But the law requires he give three official
warnings. Nic checks in undercover to gather the evidence he needs, and when he
arrives to find his general manager enjoying the spa's facilities, he doesn't
think it will prove very challenging.
Despite first
impressions, it isn't long before Nic realises that not only is Poppy Bradford
beautiful, she's a brilliant manager who runs the resort superbly. And the
chemistry between them is undeniable. When Poppy herself is threatened, it
seems clear the incidents are part of a systematic campaign of sabotage. Even
though he believes she's innocent, Nic knows Poppy is hiding something. But
will learning her secret mean losing her forever?

Totally with you on the jeans & no hot/humid!! Love the cool fall weather the most :)
ReplyDeleteThe book sounds awesome - good luck with it :)
So lovely to see you here, Jemi!! I too love the Autumn weather. Currently it is heating up in Australia, so the boots are stored and the shorts and T-shirts are coming out. Miss the boots already!
DeleteI like your answers, Jennifer. It's been a long while since I read Rebecca.
ReplyDeleteThanks William. I pick Rebecca up every couple of years and reread it. I really love the story.
DeleteFine interview, ladies. When I was young, I loved to get all dressed up in beautiful dresses and mega-high heels with ankle straps. Now? Comfort rules.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the new book, Jennifer. Billionaires are just like US, right? Except, ya know, for all that money...
Thanks, Susan.
ReplyDeleteI have a cupboard full of high heels that I now only wear a couple of times a year. Not much call for them where I live...at the beach or for what I do now...writing.
Exactly...we are just like all those billionaires, just minus a couple of dollars!!!
Hot coffee is a writer's fuel, isn't it? ;)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, Kelly. Sitting here with a nice freshly brewed cup right now.
ReplyDeleteGood to meet you. I still have my mother's copy of Rebecca.
ReplyDeleteHi, Nas!
Lovely to meet you too, Carol. How wonderful to have your mother's copy of Rebecca. I can't remember where I got my copy from. Must go and check the front cover for a inscription.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, Jennifer--this sounds like an amazing read! And I love Rebecca and completely agree that everyone should read it :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Meradeth. Yes, Rebecca is such a classic.
ReplyDeleteI've never been able to wear high heels ever. My last attempt sent me tottering. I got a pair of platform flipflops lately, though and I'm loving the extra inches I'm getting. I'm rather short, you see.
ReplyDeleteLovely interview, Nas. Congrats on the new release, Jennifer.
Thanks Maria!!! Those platform flipflops sound perfect. I also like a couple of extra inches.
DeleteGreat interview. Congrats to Jennifer on her accomplishments.
ReplyDeleteThanks Miranda. I really enjoyed this interview.
DeleteCongratulations to Jennifer on her new release! It looks like a good book!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sherry. I loved writing this story, so many fireworks between Poppy and Nic!
DeleteOoh! I love the concept. It sounds like a fabulous read.
ReplyDeleteUnleashing the Dreamworld
Thanks Crystal. I really liked all the different settings in this story.. Paris, Versailles and The Lake District.
DeleteGreat book description, Jennifer. Love the plot. I'm a snow and mountains type of girl, too. And yes, definitely ball gowns. But I'm a tea drinker, lots and lots and lots of tea. I wish you all the luck with your books and writing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this great interview, Nas.
Thanks so much, Victoria. I think because I live at the beach where it's all sunshine, humidity and sand, I crave snow and mountains. I'm trying to train myself to drink tea...I drink way too much coffee.
ReplyDeleteUm, I'd like to be tempted by a billionaire tycoon. Please? Seriously, , congrats Jennifer! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Liz. Nic is very, very tempting!
DeleteGreat interview! I wish I liked coffee. Seems that's THE thing to drink while writing.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Stephanie. I couldn't survive without coffee. I start writing early so need that kick in the mornings.
ReplyDeleteGreat questions and answers. Nothing as glamorous as a ballgown for a special night out. I think it brings out the fairytale princess in many of us.
ReplyDeleteGreat interview ladies! What a handsome, young billionaire! Sounds like the perfect escape!
ReplyDeleteJulie
I enjoyed reading about Poppy, Nic, and the author. Sometimes I crave activity around me as I write.
ReplyDeleteI have never read Rebecca! I will have to read it soon. What a fun interview! The book sounds great too. Thanks for sharing.
