Saved By The Bride by Fiona Lowe and Giveaway!

Let's talk to Fiona Lowe and learn about her The Wedding Fever Trilogy. Over to Fiona...

How did you meet your partner?

It’s a question I ask almost every couple. Here are my top ten favorites

1.       He helped a sick mate out and delivered her fridge. Only he had no experience, it got stuck in the stairwell and she had to help him out.

2.       After working together closely for three years and not seeing each other for two, they met at a wedding, talked for six hours straight and he proposed that night.

3.       He rented the spare room in her house

4.       He was an actor on stage and she was the prompt (Okay, that’s my and my husband’s story ;-)

5.       She was the nurse, he was the patient and they swear nothing happened until he asked her out after he was discharged!

6.       She hit a kangaroo and totaled her car. He stopped to help.

7.       They met at a rifle range

8.       They met in Bali. He was Australian and she was German. Neither of them spoke the other’s language (!!)

9.       They sat next to each other on a long haul flight to London

10.   She gate crashed a party, fell through a window and landed at his feet*

All of them are true stories except number 10. I made that one up because I wanted Annika and Finn, the hero and heroine in Saved By The Bride, the first book in my Wedding Fever trilogy, to have a very memorable meeting!

I’m so excited bout this trilogy and about this book. Just like Boomerang Bride, this book gives you two romances and a whole bunch of complicated family relationships. To go into the drawer to win a free eBook copy of Saved By The Bride, the first book in the Wedding Fever Trilogy, please tell me, HOW did you meet your partner?

Welcome to Whitetail, Wisconsin, future home of Weddings that WOW!

As acting mayor, Annika will do anything to revive the economy of the town that's been her refuge ever since her art career imploded and her fiancé walked out. Even if it means crashing an

engagement party to talk business with the bride's billionaire father. But the evening starts with a kiss from a gorgeous stranger—and ends with a night in jail.

Finn Callahan can't believe his sister is getting married, not after their parents' disastrous track record. And he'd rather be anywhere than working from his family's vacation home. Until he catches a leggy blonde sneaking in the window, and suddenly telecommuting for the season is very appealing.

Unable to resist their mutual attraction, Annika and Finn are soon mixing business and pleasure—just for the summer. Too bad Annika's heart missed the memo about not falling in love…

  1. Online in a chatroom. It was tushy tuesday and his naked bottom was on the pic. When I pmd him, I told him I had dated some arses in my time, but his was the nicest one I'd seen in a very long time. Weve been married 7 years this year!

    1. Well, it sounds as if he was a nice guy at the bottom of it, and not a total 'arse' Manda. Otherwise, I'll bet you'd have had nothing to do with him...

    2. Wow, Manda, that is one heck of a story! You did a lot better in a chatroom than my herione in my novel Boomerang Bride! Thanks for sharing.

  2. Hi Fiona and Nas,

I know a woman in Irelalnd who married a policeman. Apparently they met when he arrested her for breaking a red light when she was ona bicycle. As 'how did you meet your partner' stories go, this one is unusual, I think.

Fiona, I love your writing. Your book always leave an impression on me. I can't wait to read this one.

    1. I love it! People say internet dating is the new thing but really it is just an extension of match making services that have been around since day dot.

  6. I met my husband at 4am on a Friday morning after Ladies Night at a dodgy country nightclub. It's fair to say we were not in our best shape.

We've now been together 15 years, married for 7 of them, and we have a one-year-old daughter.

    1. Roz, you and your husband must have been in good enough shape to remember each other the next day and stay in touch. Thanks for sharing, it's a great story. I bet you hold back on the being drunk bit when you tell your daughter the story ;-)

  7. I like the kangaroo story, being here in the USA where that would never happen. Actually I met my late hubby in high school & we fell in love on the Science Club trip senior year. I have two grown daughters and a grandson.

Can't wait to read your next book!!!

  8. Veronica, insert any road kill ...in the southern USA it would be an Armadillo! I remember seeing so many of those dead on the road. In Wisconsin it would be a deer! In Colorado a moose.
I am always in awe of highschool sweethearts who make it work. Go you!

  10. That's a great question to ask people. Lots of inspiration right there.

I met my husband in early-morning gym. We were both P.E. delinquents and needed to make up credit in order to graduate high school.

  11. Those are all great ways to meet your spouse, although I don't think I would've been too thrilled about hitting a kangaroo!
