  Why a Greek Hero?

Nikos is my first Greek Hero and I just adore him. He’s so wounded and desperately trying to hide from his past, but meeting Serena brings him face to face with it.

How did Nikos and Serena first meet?

Serena arrived in Santorini three months before the story opens to research some travel articles she was writing. She meets the handsome Nikos on the beach by some fishing boats and the week they spend together alters her life in more ways than one.

Lovers reunited or secret baby story?

Definitely a lovers reunited story, but the baby does bring them back together, forcing them to address the issues which should keep them apart. Serena fell in love with Nikos when she first met him and for her, he is the only man she will love.

If Nikos could do one thing differently, what would it be?

He would have recognised love when he first saw it instead of hiding from it. Meeting Serena changed his life in a way he’d never expected and if he’d acknowledged what he felt for her from the beginning, then things may have been very different.

The story is set partly against the back drop of The Acropolis in Athens, is this favourite place of yours?

I am lucky enough to have visited Greece, although not Athens and I really wanted to write a story set against the backdrop of the famous landmark, The Acropolis. It took a while for Nikos to come to me and ask for his and Serena’s story to be told. Maybe one day I will see it for real!

Question for blog readers:

Where in the world would you like to see a story set and why?

One Night To Wife
A souvenir from her Greek affair!

Three months ago, journalist Serena James had her heart broken by a man she'll never forget, especially not the fury in his eyes the night they parted. Now she's back in Santorini to tell him that their summer fling had unexpected repercussions…
Mogul Nikos Petrakis is on the verge of a deal that will make him even more powerful. He doesn't need any distraction—especially not a sexy redhead whose curves beg to be touched! But now that she's carrying his heir, Nikos is forced to make a decision.

It's time to make Serena his wife!

When one night…leads to pregnancy!

  3. I've been seeing a lot about this book recently, and it really sounds like a good one. I like the idea of it being set in Greece. Where else might I let to see a story set? Hmmm, how about Mongolia? Or Antarctica?

  6. I would very much love to see The Acropolis someday! As for a good setting for a story, it doesn't much matter to me, so long as the story's good, but I do love a place with a rich history, so often the Old World cities are close to my heart :)

    1. I know that one Crystal! My kids are older now so I can travel, but reading used to be my mode of transport when they were younger.

  14. Ah, Rachael, the home of the Greek Gods! It adds a certain mystique to the story. I've never been there, unfortunately, but it looks gorgeous. Many congratulations and all the luck with the book. I always love seeing how the couple gets together in the end. As for a unique story setting? How about one of the Pacific Islands or Papua New Guinea. Exotic, breath-taking.
