Spotlight on Dani Collins & "Her Impossible Baby Bombshell"

We have author Dani Collins this week under our spotlight. She also has a new book out this month, Her Impossible Baby Bombshell.

Award-winning and USA Today Bestselling author Dani Collins thrives on giving readers emotional, compelling, heart-soaring romance with some laughter and heat thrown in, just like real life. Mostly she writes contemporary romance for Harlequin Presents and Tule’s Montana Born, but her backlist of fifty books also includes self-published erotic romance, romantic comedy, and even an epic medieval fantasy. When she’s not writing—just kidding, she’s always writing.

  1. How many unpublished and half-finished books do you have?

Two unpublished, three unfinished, two on contract that haven’t even been started.

  1. What does literary success look like to you?

My goal is to maintain an income that allows me to pay the bills without taking an outside job. In that regard I’m a literary success (in my eyes.)

  1. What’s the best way to market your books?

As soon as I figure that out, I will let you know. 😉

Actually, I think that the best *tool* for marketing your book is your own writing. So utilize snippets, samples, and excerpts. I also think maintaining your own newsletter list is important as that is your direct connection to your readers. Social media decides who will see your content and you are competing there with all the other posts and memes and games etc.

  1. What kind of research do you do, and how long do you spend researching before beginning a book?

It really depends on the book. Writing a Harlequin Presents, I’m constantly looking up ‘luxury yacht’ and ‘evening gown.’ As I work on writing more inclusively, I’ve been reading more on different cultures and the history of various places. I do a lot of my research on the fly, so I wait until I’ve hit a wall then I go down online rabbit holes in search of answers. They can be very inspiring!

  1. Tell us about your book...

Ivy is trying to get over a broken heart with a hot tycoon when the condom breaks. Jun Li says it’s okay. He made the decision years ago to have a vasectomy so pregnancy isn’t possible. Except it happens.

I was excited to explore an unplanned pregnancy from the hero’s perspective. Jun Li genuinely believes it couldn’t happen so he has a lot to reckon with. For Ivy, she’s eager to be a mother, but marriage will upend all the plans she’s made for her future.

They’re a lovely, sweet pair who deserve love and every good thing, but of course they stumble on the way to finding their HEA. I hope you enjoy their journey!

Her Impossible Baby Bombshell: An Uplifting International Romance

He’d planned for everything…
Except becoming a father!
A life of hardship and crushing responsibility left billionaire Tsai Jun Li never wanting a child to suffer the same. He made sure he couldn’t have children. So when Ivy Lam, the woman he shared one mesmerizing encounter with, appears claiming she’s pregnant, he needs proof!
After a painful relationship, Ivy’s night with Jun Li was a magical fresh start. Now she’s preparing for unexpected motherhood…but she didn’t plan on being whisked away to Shanghai! Because it’s suddenly clear Jun Li won’t relinquish his claim…to his baby or to Ivy!
